PSI opened an office in the Kingdom of Lesotho in 2001, launching a condom social marketing program and in 2004 launched a network of HIV testing and counselling (HTS) services. Since its inception, PSI Lesotho has positively impacted hundreds of thousands of lives and prevented thousands of HIV infections through its highly impactful and innovative programs, spanning from condom social marketing, sexual and reproductive health, HIV testing and prevention, to HIV care and treatment. PSI Lesotho’s community HIV testing programs, including index testing, partner notification services and comprehensive HIV prevention activities with the Lesotho Defence Force, remain a model of efficiency, effectiveness and successful government partnership.
